Access has been opened to the first four levels adjacent to the footwall of the orebody. The plan is to open five levels to initially feed the process plant.<\/p>\n<p>On surface, plant-site terraces have been released to the civils contractor, mill structures and buildings are under civil works. Many majors process plant components have been delivered to site, others on their way on sea and roads, others nearing manufacturing completion, final engineering and procurement are ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>For accommodation, a new 260-beds person housing facility has been completed.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=&#8221;Environmental, Social, and Governance&#8221; open=&#8221;off&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.22.2&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>The Dasa Project, having completed a thorough environmental and social impact study, received an Environmental Compliance Certificate and follows a robust Management Plan since 2022. Adhering to international standards, this plan showcases SOMIDA&#8217;s commitment to sustainable development and local community engagement, with a focus on using local labor and suppliers and closely monitoring environmental conditions throughout the project&#8217;s lifespan.<br \/>See the <em>ENVIRONNEMENT &amp; SOCIAL<\/em> section of the website for more.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=&#8221;History&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.22.2&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; open=&#8221;off&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Mini\u00e8re de DASA SA (SOMIDA), is\u00a0 a partnership between the Republic of Niger and Global Atomic Corporation*. The company was established on August 11, 2022, in advance of the launch of the underground mine development at the DASA uranium deposit. The official start of this development was marked by an Opening Blast Ceremony on November 5, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=&#8221;Location&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.22.2&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; open=&#8221;off&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>The DASA Project is situated in the heart of Niger&#8217;s Agadez region, an area with a five-decade history of successful uranium mining. Nestled between the mining hubs of Arlit and Agadez, the Project benefits from its strategic position. It is just 40 kilometers north of Tchiroz\u00e9rine and a mere 5 kilometers east of the RN-25 highway, adjacent to Tagaza village (see attached map).<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=&#8221;Geology&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.22.2&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; open=&#8221;off&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>The Dasa deposit in the western A\u00efr region, characterized by discordant graben-type structures from the Cambrian to the Cretaceous periods, boasts high uranium levels. The deposit lies within a depth range of 80 to 600 meters.
